What it does for you

Found on Google Maps
I set up your Google Business Profile with you. For a local trade it is often worth more than the website itself.
One tap to call you
Your number is on the first screen, as a button that rings you.
Looks like an established business
Your work, your area and your prices. People check you out before they ring.
It is yours
Domain in your name, hosted free in your own account. No monthly fee, no tie‑in.

Is it worth it? Work it out with your own numbers: if an average job is worth £100, four jobs covers the cost.

How it works

  1. Free preview. I build a rough version of your site from your business’s own details. It costs nothing, and you are under no obligation.
  2. If you like it, pay half to start.
  3. I build it properly with your real prices, photos and wording. You get two rounds of changes on a private link.
  4. You approve it and pay the other half.
  5. It goes live on your own domain, with your Google listing set up.

If you change your mind after paying the deposit, nothing goes live and the preview stays private.

Total, fixed in writing before any work £395

A Google Business Profile is the free listing that puts you in Google’s map results — for a local trade it is often worth more than the website itself.

After go‑live, changes are £25 each. Small edits sent together are charged per item, not as one change.

Hosting costs you nothing. Your only running cost is renewing your domain, usually around £10 a year, paid to whoever you bought it from.

Two pages built to this quotation

Both are mine. The businesses on them are invented, so that I could build a joiner and a groomer rather than whichever trade happened to come first. Shown at close to the width they are actually read — open either one on your phone and time it.

The R. Meredith Joinery page at phone width: a dark page headed Fitted joinery, made in the workshop, the towns it covers, and an orange ring-the-workshop panel showing 07700 900118 above a table of lead time, quotes and timber.
R. Meredith Joinery — a joiner in Ruthin. Priced jobs, lead times, and the workshop number before you have to scroll.
The Bracken and Bow page at phone width: a brown page headed One dog at a time, with a yellow tap-to-call panel showing 07700 900246 and a note that appointments are usually booked two to three weeks ahead.
Bracken & Bow — a groomer in Llanfairfechan. Appointment‑shaped, and deliberately nothing like the joiner.

On the map, and described properly

LocalBusiness structured data lets search engines read your trade, hours and area. It is not what puts you on the map — no code can do that, which is why the Business Profile is a line in the quotation above rather than an extra.

Where this sits

I am starting out, so you deal directly with the person building your site, and the price is fixed in writing before any work starts. The free preview is there so you can judge the work before you pay anything.
